Poppins

The Poppins Umbrella Stand is an imaginative new spin on conventional umbrella holders that was created by Edward Barber for the Italian label Magis.

In designing this product, Barber set himself an interesting problem. He noticed that the majority of umbrella stands catered for hooked umbrellas, but didn’t accommodate the squat designs of fold-up varieties very well. Instead of a rack style umbrella holder, he found that a collection of holes worked best – allowing people to drop their umbrella in, whatever its shape and size.
