Alvar Aalto’s asymmetrical undulating shape has become the cornerstone of Nordic design, which combines form and purpose. Each vase is made individually at the Iittala glass factory by mouth blowing, cut from the glass by hand and the edges are finished by sanding.

The 180mm vase is based on Aalto’s original sketches from the 1930s, but is smaller than the prototype in terms of size. The elegant Rio brown Aalto vase is perfect for individual flowers or a small seasonal bouquet. The always timeless design makes the vase a beautiful gift for special moments.
